Per single entry, set in two tiers based on the country the user writes from:
- Japan, United States, EU member states, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Israel, GCC countries: USD 3.00
- All other regions: USD 1.00
The two-tier pricing reflects differences in local purchasing power, so that the burden of writing feels roughly equal wherever the user is.
Yen-equivalent at the time of charge varies with the prevailing exchange rate; the final amount is shown on the checkout screen.

Japanese consumption tax is included in the listed price (no separate breakdown).
The user may optionally add a donation amount (+0 / +2 / +5 / +10 / +25 USD or any value) at checkout. This is voluntary.
Any fees levied by the user's bank or card issuer are the user's responsibility.
- Accepted payment methods

Credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, JCB, Diners Club, Discover) including Apple Pay and Google Pay, processed via Stripe Checkout. Card details are not stored on Cairn's servers.

The entry is published and the page number + proof key are issued to the user typically within seconds of payment confirmation.
If, due to system failure, the entry is not published within 24 hours of payment, the charge is automatically refunded in full.

- Returns and cancellations

This service consists of digital content delivery and is therefore not subject to cooling-off under Japan's Act on Specified Commercial Transactions (electronic services).
Before pressing the final payment confirmation button, the user can freely review and edit the entry on the form and confirmation screens.
After payment, refunds are issued only when the operator is at fault (system failure preventing delivery, etc.).
The body of an entry cannot in principle be edited or deleted after confirmation (the once-in-a-lifetime nature of the service). Removal under defamation, illegality, or a writer's own deletion request is handled per Terms §11.
- Defective service / non-delivery
- If, due to operator fault, the service is not delivered, contact the operator by email above; after verification, the full charge will be refunded.
